Chia Parfait

The perfect breakfast, especially if you have a sweet tooth like Antoine. Our Chia Parfait recipe is fast and simple and goes with whatever fruits are currently in season while providing you an energetic and balanced breakfast that can be prepared in advance. Prepare the Chia pudding the night before and on the day, top it with fresh fruits or granola or nuts. Delicious. And filled with nutrients thanks to our Chia Seed buddy!

*** The ingredients are given for 2 (two) Chia Parfait ***

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup of any milk (Almond, Soy, Coconut, Rice, Hemp…)

  • 1/3 cup of Chia seeds

  • 2 tsp of agave or maple syrup

  • 1/2 tsp of cinnamon

  • Your favorite toppings or fruits in season

  • Mint leaves

DIRECTIONS

  1. Mix together the chia seeds, milk and maple syrup (We like using maple syrup because it is natural, has a great flavor and also it is abundant in Canada where we live).

  2. Whisk the mixture together and pour the mixture into a jar or a glass container.  Let it sit in the refrigerator for 4 hours or overnight in order for it to gelify.

  3. Assemble your overnight chia pudding into a glass or a bowl and top it with fresh fruits of your choice. On this day we used banana and blueberries with mint leaves. The mint leaves gave it a refreshing burst.

  4. We prefer to make this night before and grab for a quick breakfast the next day. It is also great as a delicious pre-made afternoon snack or dessert.
