Oats belong to those meals that Antoine was never exposed to until joining path with Cavita. At first the outlook scared him slightly, but the overall benefits of eating oats quickly took over any aesthetic downside. Firstly, oats are very nutritious bringing you carbs, fibers, important vitamins (B1, B5...), minerals and antioxidant plant compounds. They are filling and will help you hold until the next meal of the day. They also have a regulating effect on cholesterol and sugars helping the body deal with these two. Add in some apple, spices (cinnamon) and seeds and you have a robust vegan breakfast perfect to start your day. This is our Apple Cinnamon Oats. 

 

This recipe is for 1 serving.

 

INGREDIENTS
  • 1/3 cup of steel cut oats

  • 1/4 of a green apple

  • 1 tsp of cinnamon

  • 1 tsp of raw honey

  • 1 tsp hemp hearts

  • 1 tbsp of pumpkin seeds

  • Water

DIRECTIONS

 

  1. Cook the oats on stove top with water and mix in the honey at the end inside the cooked oats.

  2. Wash, peel and slice the green apple into thin wedges.

  3. Place the cooked oats in a bowl and garnish with the apple wedges.

  4. Sprinkle the hemp hearts and pumpkin seeds on top.

  5. Serve immediately and enjoy.
